The Panca Kleshas are the 5 Kleshas that are the five root causes of human suffering and mental afflictions in Yoga philosophy, acting as obstacles to inner peace and enlightenment. Described in the Yoga Sutras, they are: Avidya (ignorance), Asmita (ego), Raga (attachment), Dvesha (aversion), and Abhinivesha (fear of death). This course uses asana to understand and implement the strength to overcome the Kleshas.

Four Fruits of Life - The Quest for Liberation Course

  • Dharma (Righteousness): Ethical duty, virtue, and acting in accordance with divine law.

Artha (Prosperity): Pursuit of wealth, livelihood, and financial stability through righteous means.

Kama (Pleasure): Fulfilment of desires, emotional contentment, and joy within ethical boundaries.

Moksha (Liberation): Ultimate liberation from the cycle of birth and death (samsara) and self-realisation

  • Balance: While Moksha is the ultimate goal, Hinduism emphasises balancing all four, using Dharma to guide Artha and Kama.

Significance: These goals are linked to the stages of life (Ashramas), guiding individuals from worldly responsibilities to spiritual liberation.

Context: These goals allow for a balanced, ethical, and meaningful life, aiming for worldly success (Artha/Kama) while staying aligned with spiritual truth (Dharma/Moksha).

These classes focus on the ideal of MOKSHA from the Purusharthas.

"Love, Serve, Remember" is the central, distilled teaching of the renowned 20th-century Indian saint Neem Karoli Baba (affectionately known as Maharaj-ji). This teaching, along with his core message of "Love everyone, serve everyone, feed everyone, and remember God," constitutes his enduring legacy. Yoga + Hindu Deity Courses

We will explore the traditions, texts and theological path of the Goddesses/Shaktiya/Mahadevi , which is still a major branch of Hindu spiritual life. The great feminine in Hindu religion has always been held in high esteem as the source of power, the Shaktiya that runs through our bodies (regardless of gender) and all of nature. Sanskrit Mantras connect us to this divine feminine energy to increase its energy and potency. Jai Maa Durga

In this course, Maa Durga as our charioteer, we must be fearless as if we were riding a lion - we explore each asana as a devotional offering, meaning we find the ‘feeling’ place in each pose, then offer that to the devotional fire with a lion-like even if moving quickly through transitions and postures. Durga is also referred to as "Triyambake" meaning the three eyed Goddess. The left eye represents desire (the moon), the right eye represents action (the sun), and the central eye

knowledge (fire) - so the sequence balances right/left then uplifts the fire. If we are ever afraid or fearful we can invoke Durga, she is the form of the mother whom keeps her children safe from all difficulties and dangers. Yoga teaches us to deal with our emotions, rather than to be led by them. Emotions are the role of the mind, and we must be brave enough to own our emotions, to deal with them.

Meditation + Kriya Focus

During the pre-dawn period, there is the availability of nascent oxygen in the atmosphere. Waking early for spiritual practice boosts immunity, increases energy levels, helps maintain the balance of blood ph and gives higher levels of oxygen to the brain. The serene atmosphere and the pre-dawn stillness during Brahma Muhurta are thought to enhance concentration and mental clarity, making it an ideal time for self-reflection and spiritual pursuits. The  tranquility and heightened energy of Brahma Muhurta offer a pristine backdrop for introspection and personal growth. Ayurvedic tradition holds that the body's rhythms are in perfect alignment with nature during Brahma Muhurta, facilitating optimal functioning of the body systems.

Chandra Sādhana

This is a 40-day SADHNA with the Moon in mind! Including Kriyas, meditations, smoothie recipes, reading and more. Everything we think and do somehow has an effect, like the moon, the karmic effect of life and interaction. According to the tantric yogis, the “sun” was located in the solar plexus; the “moon,” in the crown of the head. The moon was thought to contain amrita, “the stuff of the macrocosmic moon, the divine nectar of immortality,” which “pours itself into the world in the form of vivifying rain.”

“Claire Missingham has been a huge gift in my life.

She’s a skilled technical teacher, precise and clear in her verbal instruction, and her physical adjustments. She also has, like a jazz musician, the ability to adapt and improvise according to the mood of the room. If I come in wiped out or broken down she can turn that energy around by end of the session, so you walk out feeling healed. I often ride the coat tails of her faith in me, until I can pull myself back up.

Anyone would be extremely lucky to work with her in any capacity.”
